Couldn’t help but think…

…this could be done better. As in, I saw a visual in a blog article in relation to an A/B test. It struck me that it might have a negative result just because the design is so poor. A problem with using red as an alert color is that when you fade it out it is pink, which just sucks. (Sorry, Barbie lovers). Another problem is that black on red or pink is hard to read. The blue hyperlink isn’t much better.

Also, why not separate the problem from a possible solution and guide the user a little bit towards clicking on that solution? I came up with this:


It’s just chockful of symbology, ain’t it?
